The Old Nick Pub was the subject of a full internal and external fit-out at ground and basement levels, recreating the atmosphere of a classic Victorian styled drinking house. Mackenzie Wheeler Architects devised a layout to form public bars and dining areas served from a central island bar at ground floor, whilst new kitchen facilities, customer toilets, cellar and ancillary storage were integrated into the basement.

The public areas are fitted out with high quality materials and finishes ensuring that these areas actually improve with age and use. Wall paneling is framed with solid oak sections surrounding brilliant cut and etched mirror glass panels. The intended ambience is one of traditional quality and permanence, ensuring valuable and profitable service for many years to come.
