Originally a 16th century farmhouse, The Hankridge Arms was also used as a Reeve Court in the 17th century thus, establishing a long history of public use. With the redevelopment of the surroundings as a retail and leisure park, Hall and Woodhouse acquired the Grade 2* derelict property for conversion into a traditional pub, restaurant and conference facility.

Stone mullion windows, inglenook fireplaces, Oak and Elm panelled partitions, stone floors, limewashed walls, and rare decorative plasterwork have all been carefully retained and repaired. All these features, together with good quality antiques, tapestries, handwoven carpets and many bespoke bar and light fittings create a completely genuine, comfortable and unique historic interior. Awards: Design Award for Conservation Work from Somerset County Council.
